A look at some of the best kicks of Indian cricket stars

Indian T20I Captain Harmapreet Kaur is celebrating her 32nd birthday today, March 8th.

Born in the Moga district of Punjab in 1989, the all-rounder played her first ODI match against Pakistan in 2009 and made her T20I debut against England on June 11, 2009, when India played at the ICC Women’s World T20 in Taunton. Harmanpreet Kaur then debuted in a test five years later against England in 2014.

The cricket player has achieved a lot for her country and is the first Indian to sign a contract with the foreign franchise T20. Kaur signed for the Women’s Big Bash League by Sydney Thunder in the 2016-17 season. She is also the second Indian player to be signed by the Kia Super League of England and the Wales Cricket Board.

The right-handed striker is also the winner of the prestigious Arjuna Award, which she won in 2017 for outstanding performance in sports and games. This award is the second largest sports part of India.

On Kaur’s 32nd birthday, we look at some of the best changes the all-rounder has played for India and left the cricket fraternity amazed and delighted:

171 * of 115 – India v. Australia

It was the semi-finals of the 2017 World Cup for women in which Kaur remained undefeated and led India to the finals by playing the innings of her life. Kaur’s substitution included 20 matches and 7 great sixes, which helped India score 281. In response, Australia managed to score just 245, losing the match by 36 runs.

103 of 51 – India v New Zealand

This was Kaura’s first hundred T20I and it quickly reached the century with only 49 deliveries. Her century was the first to be scored by an Indian player. With its stunning innings, India recorded 194/5 in the first match of the ICC Women’s World T20 in 2018. New Zealand was limited to 160/9 in 20 overs and lost the match by 34 rounds.

46 of 31 – India v. Australia

In the T20 match against Australia in Adelaide Oval in 2016, India chased the 141 goal and found themselves in trouble, and the running rate was climbing all the time. Kaur, who played in 4th place, hit an incredible 31 balls 46 to lead the chase and help India win with five gates.

34 of 21 – Lancashire Thunders vs. Surrey Stars- Kia Super League

Harmanpreet Kaur made her debut in the Kia Super League, playing for the Lancashire Thunders 2018. The team chased 149 to win, and Kaur shot 34 of 21 balls to take his side home with one ball behind. The all-around hit three limits, and her magnificent six on the penultimate ball of substitutions helped her team beat the Surrey Stars by five goals.

107 of 109 – India v. England

This was the first ODI century of Harmanpreet Kaur and although India lost the match, Kaur hit a brave 107 of 109 balls, including 8 limits and 2 sixes. The all-rounder added 106 runs with Karu Jain for the fourth pass, while India chased a 273-goal finish.

Kaur represents modern Indian women’s cricket and is a turning point for setting some outstanding records. The cricketer made a total of 2669 runs in the ODI and 2319 in the T20I. We wish the brave all-rounder a lot of success in the years to come.
