Manchester United’s 25-player dream team including four new signatures to rebuild Erik ten Hague – Steven Railston

There may not be enough departures from Manchester United in the coming months after the disastrous campaign.

United signed by Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo for the summer and were expected to fight for the Premier League title, but that challenge never began. United were shamefully eliminated from all cup competitions until March and were left with the challenge of reluctantly taking care of European League football before the end of the season.

Interim manager Ralph Rangnick has two games left to lead United. Eric the Haguecurrently the manager of Ajax, will take the reins after the departure of the German and will face the biggest challenge of his career to transform United’s fortune.

United need a major overhaul and multiple departures from the club are expected, so what could Ten Hague’s perfect team of 25 players look like for next season? Below, we took a closer look and analyzed some potential incoming and outgoing revenues.

The goalkeeping situation at United has been unhealthy for some time. Dean Henderson, 25, has proven he is ready for the regular minutes of the first team and should be allowed to leave if Ten Hague wants David de Gea as his No. 1 stopper. Although De Gea has been an outstanding United performer this season, there are doubts about his distribution and long-term suitability for Ten Hague style.

Considering Harry Maguire Having just experienced a nightmare and Raphael Varane’s record of injuries, United must sign a world-class central defender. Villarreal’s Pau Torres is back on United’s radar and would be a tricky addition in central defense. United should finally sell Phil Jones, Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe to ease the financial commitment of that transfer.

The defenders are currently not good enough in the United squad, with the exception of Luke Shaw. He has enough credit in the bank to keep his place after an inconsistent season, however, Diogo Dalot, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Alex Telles do not. The latter needs to be sold – he can’t defend – and bring Tariq Lamptey to start at right-back, in an ideal world.

As for the three-player midfield, United simply need to sign a specialized defensive midfielder. United have an interest in Calvin Phillips and he would be an outstanding signing for a transfer that should be less than West Ham’s estimate Declan Rice.

Bruno Fernandes ’place in the starting XI never seems vulnerable – rightly or wrongly – and Fred should take the final starting position. Scott McTominayJames Garner, Donny van de Beek and Hannibal Maybri can provide competition for these positions.

It would be foolish for Ten Hague not to get involved Cristiano Ronaldo in their plans. Ronaldo has scored 24 goals in 38 appearances this season and has been forced to take on the burden of scoring United on his own, which must change.

Darwin Nunez, 22, is one of Europe’s most exciting center-forwards and could score goals at Old Trafford for years to come. Although Nunez is a striker, when Benfica is set in 3-4-3, he starts as a left-handed striker and drifts inside and could change positions with Ronaldo during the match. Rangnick recently suggested that Ronaldo does not want to play as the lone number 9.

Anthony Martial was whistled by Seville fans during his stay in Spain and that’s all you need to know. If United can find a willing buyer, his time at the club should be over. Amad and Alejandro Garnacho can get permanent promotions to the first team.
