Martin Brundle responded after his awkward walk at the Miami Grand Prix went viral for the wrong reasons.
The former F1 driver became a respected Sky Sports commentator, tormenting spectators for 10 minutes as he walked along the net talking to celebrity guests on the track before the race began. He managed to get through a little conversation with pop star Pharrell Williams and DJ Khaled, but in between there were a bunch of awkward moments when he hit unsuspecting celebrities and put a microphone in their face.

“There’s a reason I’ve never watched them walk the F1 network in the quarter of a century I’ve been running them,” he wrote on Twitter.
“You have no idea how much I don’t like working on them, but somehow those crazy moments determined my professional career.
“Okay, that’s right.”
Brundle’s attempt to talk to Serena Williams on Monday morning went awful. The tennis legend has already rejected Brundle twice during his walk down the track, including last year at the U.S. Grand Prix in Texas, and she fled to Miami again, but only hiding behind her sister Venus.
“Serena what do you think of holding this event in Miami,” he said before Venus asked a question. Venus replied, “We love having Lewis (Hamilton) and all the drivers in Miami, we wish them luck. This is the first time they have been here. ”
When she went to wave to someone nearby, she seemed to think it was the end of the interview. She was wrong.
“Oh, what a question,” she asked when she saw Brundle still standing beside her.
“No, it doesn’t really matter. It’s actually nice to talk to you, “he said.
As she was leaving, Brundle told the audience, “Well, that was a nice surprise, otherwise I have a very cold shoulder.”
His the incident with Serena Williams and Megan Thee Stallion hit the headlines around the world in October. Although his efforts on Monday were not so brutal, he was equally gruesome.
Brundle also scored the moment he was given the opportunity to interview American university basketball player Paolo Bancher on the run. The problem is that Brundle seemed to think Duke basketball player Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
He called out “Patrick” before he later realized he was actually interviewing Bancher.
“It’s not Patrick, that’s why he ignored me,” he told a Sky Sports camera.
“What’s your name, sir?” then he asked and added, “Well, I thought I was talking to someone else, I’m sorry about that.”
The brutal reaction of social media was enough to make Martin Brundle one of the most popular terms on Twitter in the United States.
The worst thing he could say was that he would always end up like this before he even came to talk to the Williams sisters.
“I am not afraid at all. Hold on tight. “This walk on the net will be either an interesting or a complete car accident,” he said.
“I do not know if I can bear this refusal to be honest. I don’t know if I can handle the rejection. But I will do it for you. “
