Pro Kabaddi League 2021: Tamil Thalaivas surpasses Haryana Steelers 45-26 in all-around

Manjeet won the Super 10 for the Thalaivas who also saw their esteemed defensive duo Surjeet Singh (8 points) and Sagar (7 points) get High 5s. Coach Haryane Rakesh Kumar will have to think a lot as the whole team fails to turn against a fully charged Thalaivas.

The first half was a very successful affair with Tamil Thalaivas dominating in the early minutes. Captain Surjeet Singh and Sagar weren’t in the mood to let Haryana’s attackers calm down as they pulled out an outing for lunch to get EVERYONE out of their team in the 5th minute.

The defense set the pace for Thalaivas, while Manjeet, again in the lineup after missing Thalaivas ’previous encounter, and K. Prapanjan picked up points for the attack.

The Chennai team won the second ALL OUT with 8 minutes to go and opened the lead by 14 points. But kabaddi is a game of swing and Vikash Kandola quickly turned it around for the Steelers.

He found flaws in the overly enthusiastic Tamil defense and helped Haryana get back into the competition. They got their first ALL OUT with 2 minutes left until halftime to reduce Thalaivas ’lead to 5 points. Tamil’s Sagar got their High 5 before the teams changed sides with a score of 24-18.

The second half repeated the first, and Thalaivas continued his good form. Sagar made the right corner a no-entry zone for Haryana’s attackers while their attackers continued to impress. The team got their third ALL OUT in the 3rd minute after the restart as Haryana looked unanswered.

It was only worse for the Steelers who received another ALL OUT in 5 minutes until the end while Surjeet Singh got his High 5 and Manjeet got his Super 10. The 18 point advantage in the last 5 minutes proved too much for Haryana strikers like Tamil Thalaivas won.
