Rajasthan Royals (RR) striker Ravi Ashwin won headlines after taking a weird stance during a game against the Delhi Capitals (DC) on Wednesday, May 11 at the Dr. DY Patil in Mumbai. After the Royals were chosen to strike first, RR lost an early pass from Jos Buttler, who has held the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Orange Cap for three centuries.

Left-handed fast bowler Chetan Sakariya got rid of him to shorten his stay in the middle. After that, coxswain Sanju Samson was demoted and sent Ashwin to hit number 3. Ashwin was not flattered to fool as he scored 50 runs with 38 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes. The veteran got his half-century of 37 balls and coincidentally it was his first fiftieth since his IPL debut a decade ago.

Ashwin was also involved in a crucial 53 races for the third wicket along with Devdutt Padikkal, who raced to a well-made 30 of 48 balls with six fours and two sixes. After his shot, the Royals scored 160 runs in 20 overs, although in the end they couldn’t really accelerate.

During his knock, Ashwin withdrew a ridiculous attitude as he faced Kuldeep Yadava twisting his left arm. The striker may have taken a stance to disturb the bowler’s concentration. Ashwin eventually pulled out a mid-tempo Mitchell Marsh in the 15th overtaking as he tried to raise the lead.

Ashwin resorted to various antics on the field, after which he grabbed the headlines. Meanwhile, social media users laughed at Ashwin’s latest improvisation in the middle. They didn’t take the time to pull out the hilarious comments.

Riding on Mitchell Marsh’s versatile heroism, the Delhi Capitals came together at the right time to beat the Rajasthan Royals by eight passes and maintain their hopes in the playoffs for the IPL on Wednesday.
