The day after former skipper Chennai Super Kings Ravindra Jadeja released from CSK due to a rib injury the all-rounder suffered during the IPL 2022 side match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Jadeja is believed to have been unhappy with the way the CSK team’s management took care of the change of captaincy during the season.
Jadeja was appointed captain of CSK ahead of IPL 2022, but due to CSK’s less than impressive performance and Jadeja’s own lack of form, he was replaced by MS Dhoni after eight games. Despite the fact that CSK is still in the race for the playoffs, it is extremely impossible for the four-time champions to place among the top four.
Ravindra Jadeja remains firmly in CSK’s scheme of things for the future: Kasi Viswanathan
Rumors of a rift between Jadeja and team management were reportedly fueled by the way CSK’s Instagram stopped following Jadeja, the Indian Express reported. The newspaper added in its report,
“Some of Jadeja’s teammates hinted at disagreement, while they spoke for this paper on condition that they remain anonymous. According to them, Jadeja was not too happy with the way the change of captain went. Those who are informed say that he was versatile and thought that the process lacked transparency. ”
Nonetheless, the case was discredited by CSK Executive Director Kasi Viswanathan, who told the daily that Jadeja’s release from the team was done only on the basis of ‘medical advice’, adding: “What I can tell you is that there were no problems on the part of the management and whatever is on social networks, I am not familiar with it. Jadeja remains firmly in CSK’s scheme of things for the future, always, ” he said he quoted the daily.
Ravindra Jadeja is going to rehab
Jadeja was not involved in CSK’s defeat by DC after the allrounder appeared to have injured his arm while playing during a team match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Shivam Dube replaced the spin bowling all-rounder against DC. CSK will face the Mumbai Indians on Thursday, followed by games against the Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals.
Ravindra Jadeja did not have a decent IPL season before he was ruled out due to injury. He achieved only 116 runs and picked up five goals in the 10 matches he has played so far.
The all-rounder will currently go into rehab, and a break could also come to him as a shelter before India’s home series against South Africa and a visit to England that followed. His horrific performance at the 2022 IPL proactively put questionnaires in his place on the Indian team for the 2022 T20 World Cup, which will be held later this year.
