With the 7 T20I in June, will Umran Malik be quickly included in the Indian cricket team?

The sensation of bowling at the pace of Umran Malik could quickly enter the Indian team as early as June when seven T20 Internationals will play against South Africa and Ireland. India will play against South Africa in the T20 International series of five home games (June 9, 12, 14, 17, 20) and two matches in Malachide, Ireland (June 26, 28) where the second division team will made up of white ball experts will go about their business as the big cannons prepare for the fifth test against England which will be decisive in the series, which starts in early July.

Umran was a bowler net during India’s last World T20 campaign in the UAE.

BCCI wants to have more fast bowlers going to the upcoming World T20 in Australia, and Umran, with his fierce pace, is likely to get on the team if all goes well and stays in shape for the next two months.

The group of top bowlers whose load management will be most important are Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Deepak Chahar (if they are capable), Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav.

The three bowlers from the edge pack, who could get a chance in some of the 20 plus T20I matches ahead of the World Cup are Umran and left-handed T Natarajan and Arshdeep Singh, all of whom were impressive in the IPL.

Sunrisers bowling coach Hyderabad and fast bowling legend Dale Steyn called Jammu a man of “genius”.

“My job with Umran is to make sure he runs fast and make the players play differently. My job is to try to get him to think in advance about what the hitters are planning to do.

“It’s exciting for us to sit back and watch what a genius he is. I don’t want to turn him into what I was, all I want is for his geniuses to come out, ”Steyn said on‘ Cricket Live ’‘ Star Sports ’.

It is understood that selector chairman Chetan Sharma and his committee will closely monitor Umran, who is now India’s fastest long-distance bowler, regularly recording 152 plus (around 95 mph).

He has nine goals from six games for SRH this season, and the way he intimidated established international striker like KKR Shreyas Iyer was an exciting sight.

Sunil Gavaskar, commenting for IPL broadcasters, said that Malik will become more deadly when he is able to stop spraying deliveries on the stump of his leg and wider than him.

“Many guys who bowl at that speed tend to splash the ball around, but Umran throws very few wide deliveries. If he can control the widths down his legs, he will be a great bowler because that will mean he will attack stumps all the time, and with his pace, it’s not easy to hit straight.

“If the ball goes from wicket to wicket, it will be largely a bowler that cannot be played. He will play for India, “Gavaskar said.

Former WV Raman presenter, one of the most respected voices in Indian cricket, believes that the time has come for Umran to be invited to the Indian team immediately.

“He is a special talent. He has a pace and is now slowly gathering fast bowling ropes. When a young bowler has a tempo, don’t wait three seasons before you bleed him.

“If he’s young and fast like Umran, you should take him seriously,” said Raman, who was a former NCA punching coach, in addition to working with KKR and the Indian women’s team. PTI.

“When Umran ball, you could hear the ball hitting the bat. But also when you have a bowler like that bowling at 150 consistently, then you also need good skating catchers because the ball will travel at high speed, ”Raman added.

Raman also analyzed that when it comes to express-pace bowlers, they are more likely to debut internationally much earlier than hitters, who are doing well in the IPL.

“If you look at our hitting unit, we have a lot of experience, and if you’re a player without a cap who has branded himself as a specialist hitter at number 4, it’s a little hard to get an overview. After that come the multidimensional cricketers.

“You will also produce better quality dough than bowlers. Therefore, when a special bowler appears on the horizon, it will certainly create a certain degree of interest, ”Raman explained.

Former coach Devang Gandhi, however, believes the raw pace can be counterproductive as hitters internationally can achieve fast races.

“I believe India will be counting on the experience at the World Cup given that the Australian pitches for the ICC tournament will be great for hitting.

“But with that in mind, on the eve of World T20 you can check out the various options and there’s no harm in deciding to try Umran and see what he can bring to the table,” Gandhi, a member of the last selection committee, said.
