Wriddhiman Saha shares screenshot of threatening press releases, responds Virender Sehwag | Cricket News

Indian goalkeeper Wriddhiman Saha shared a recording of threatening messages he received from reporters on Saturday night (February 19th). This comes after Saha was knocked out of the Indian test team against Sri Lanka.

Saha questioned the state of journalism because he was upset after a journalist threatened a cricketer for allegedly ignoring his calls.

“After all my contributions to Indian cricket … I am facing this from a so-called“ respected ”journalist! That’s where journalism disappeared, ”Saha posted on his Twitter account on Saturday along with what appears to be a screenshot of a series of messages from the alleged journalist.

Reacting to Saha’s Twitter post, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag wrote: “Extremely sad. Such a sense of right, neither respected nor a journalist, just chamchagiri. With you Wriddhi.”

Meanwhile, after being kicked out of the test team, Saha revealed that the team’s management, led by head coach Rahul Dravid, told him to consider a “retirement” as it will not be considered for selection from now on.

It was previously reported that Wriddhiman withdrew from the Ranji Trophy because he was told he would not be selected to the Indian team.

‘The management of the team told me that from now on I will not be considered. I couldn’t say that as long as I was part of the lineup of the Indian team, ” explosive Wriddhiman told the media on Saturday.

“Even coach Rahul Dravid suggested I consider retiring,” he spilled a wave of secret conversations with the head coach.

Wriddhiman also hit BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, who he claimed assured him not to worry about his place on the team.

” When I hit the undefeated 61 taking painkillers in the first test against New Zealand in Kanpur last November, Dada (as Sourav was called by Bengali players) congratulated me via Whatsapp.

” He even mentioned that I don’t have to worry about anything while he’s at the helm of the BCCI. Such a message from the CEO really boosted my confidence. But I couldn’t understand why everything changed so quickly. “ he added.

Notably, the All India Senior Selection Committee on Saturday named the squads for the Sri Lanka series, and in addition to Saha, test experts Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane were also expelled from the team. Even veteran pacer Ishant Sharma was also ignored by the menu.

Indian test composition: Rohit Sharma (C), Mayank Agarwal, Priyank Panchal, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, KS Bharat, R Ashwin (fitness), Ravi Jadeja, Jayant Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Bummirah Mohammad Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Saurabh Kumar.
